The Most Awesome Marathon Playlist

5 Jan

My running playlist is sometimes a touchy subject for me. If you picked up my iPod shuffle you might think it belonged to a 13-year old girl. My hipster friends are constantly disappointed with my love of top 40 hits and my rock ‘n roll lovin’ boyfriend is forever annoyed with my pop-heavy playlist selections on long road trips.

But in honor of full disclosure so that you might properly help me extend my playlist to become the most awesome marathon playlist ever (for me anyways), I’ve put my pride aside and opened up my running play list to you. Please find said playlist below.

Feel free to laugh at me. But first, please… please suggest songs to add to my playlist in the comments below. I need your help…. clearly.

My Walt Disney Marathon playlist so far:

I Will Survive / Cake

6 Foot 7 Foot (feat. Cory Gunz) / Lil Wayne

In da Club / 50 Cent

Hello Brooklyn 2.0 / Jay-Z

Teach Me How to Dougie / Cali Swag District

Bawitdaba / Kid Rock

Outta Your Mind / Lil Jon & LMFAO *

Shots / LMFAO & Lil Jon

Pumped Up Kicks / Foster the People

That’s Not My Name / The Ting Tings

Whip My Hair / Willow

My Chick Bad / Ludacris & Nicki Minaj

Diva / Beyonce

Get Me Bodied / Beyonce

Ring the Alarm / Beyonce

Deja Vu / Beyonce

Bulletproof / La Roux

Pour Some Sugar On Me / Def Leppard

Hey Mama / Black Eyed Peas

Anxiety / Black Eyed Peas

Let’s Get Retarded / Black Eye Peas

Hollaback Girl / Gwen Stefani

How Low / Ludacris

SexBack / Justin Timberlake

Dirrty / Christina Aguilera

It’s Like That / Mariah Carey

Walk This Way / Aerosmith

Baby Got Back / Sir Mix-a-Lot

Drop It Like It’s Hot / Snoop Dogg & Pharrell Williams

Whatta Man / En Vogue Featuring Salt-N-Pepa

Paper Planes / M.I.A.

Billie Jean / Michael Jackson

* Appears in playlist more than once. Like at least 5 or 6 times. Puts pep in my step every time. Yeah, I know I got problems.

What songs get you going on your runs? Any of them on  your playlist more than once?

I'm pretty sure my favorite running song 'Outta Your Mind' is on repeat

Ok. So I grabbed some music together for you to add to your playlist.

You can download it here: http://www.mediafire.com/?3ymwy92zr9fmz

There’s tons of music! A grand mixture of random stuff. I tried to keep it mostly upbeat, running type song. But I threw in a couple random tracks. Hehe. And there are a few oldies (as in high school days for us). And a lot of hip hop/pop stuff.

    Yep. Ok bye.

“Let’s Get it Started” is the radio-friendly version. The original was “Let’s Get Retarded.” I had this CD before the song hit the radio so I guess I’ve always referred to its original version, as politically incorrect as it may be. 🙂
